HDMI Cable to Scart

Scart is a standard which originated from France and is associated with twenty-one pin connector for the purpose of inter-connecting audio and visual equipments together. Scart is one of the most prominent methods of inter-connecting two audio and video electronic devices together. This has become a standard connector.

With the development of new technology and introduction of related products into the market, scart is now being considered as out-dated. The new technologies which have developed in the field are DVI, VGA, and HDMI. These new technologies are used for digital and high definition television sets. Scart is no longer able to transmit HD television signals without a major loss of picture and sound clarity. There are innate processors in the advanced television sets which convert the digital signals given by the HDMI cable lead to the screen of the TV. Whereas, scart introduces important losses in the quality of picture through conversion to analogue signals. However, scart has a lower bandwidth to offer as compared to the standards of newly introduced HDMI cable leads.

The disadvantages of scart cannot be over-looked though it has been useful in several ways. It was of great use to connect the audio and visual equipments like TV, VCR, digital DVD players and video game consoles. It gathered all the analogue signal connections to function effectively. The different signals carried by scart include composite signals along with stereo audio input or output, RGB video and digital signalling. As an additive to this facility, a TV can be changed from standby mode or cab be switched over to the video mode with the aid of a scart connector. It is very tough to use a scart connector to inter-connect a VCR and a computer monitor because of the complexity of synchronizing composite video signal which is compounded to blue, red and green from the VCR with the RGB signals. These RGB signals are needed by the computer monitor.

HDMI on the other hand is the advanced replica of scart with a lot of changes made to benefit the users. High-Definition Multimedia Interface is the full form of HDMI. This is an audio or video interface which is used to transmit uncompressed data. These HDMI cable leads are available in the market in various sizes and lengths. After being introduced in the world market in the year 2003, the shipping of HDMI technology products started to see more than 850 PC companies and consumer electronics buy its products. This made its productivity reliable to customers. The use of these HDMI cable leads is so wide spread that a HDMI cable is added to HD brand TV sets.

Being an advanced replica of the scart, HDMI is proved to be superior with all its top class features. The most significant feature of the HDMI cable is its two-way functionality. This feature permits the inter-connected devices to communicate, that is, send and receive data and while communicating, scan the competence of each other. This scanning enables the devices to automatically confer required settings in order to run the process of transmitting smoothly. This HDMI cable wire does not compress the data to facilitate transferring and hence provides quality output.

There is a wide product base under HDMI technology from which the users can select their products. It also has bandwidth capacity of 10.2 gigabits which is comparatively enormous as it is more than twice the rate which is required to transfer signals from many electronic equipments of audio and video alike. This is the speed of the next generation technology which we have got to experience now.

These HDMI cable leads are backward compatible. All the new versions of HDMI cable leads have in them installed the older versions. This makes it convenient for the user to use it with any model or version of audio and video equipments. It is also easy to replace an old version HDMI transfer cable wire. This HDMI technology uses only a single cable wire to inter-connect two audio and video devices and most often more than two devices for commercial purposes. This single HDMI cable wire replaces around eleven out-dated cable wires. The installation and upgrading process is very simple making it easy for the user to do it himself.

An intelligent feature of a HDMI cable lead is the Consumer Electronic Control which is provides the ability to give single touch commands. This facility is accessible even when there are multiple audio and video devices inter-connected.

Therefore, with the vast distinction in their features, it can be concluded that a HDMI cable wire is more competent than scart. It is clearly evident that scart being an old, out-dated technology is no match to the fast and updated HDMI technology and its products base. The features in the HDMI technology give a unique identity to it!
